MEET OUR AMBASSADORS

Michael Gorton AM
LLB, BComm, FRACS (Hon), FANZCA (Hon)
Modern medicine has been able to alleviate some of the effects of Parkinson’s disease. But we need to do more to improve treatment and care for those affected. The Park takes an holistic approach to care and support for clients and their families, and deserves our support. I am proud to be an Ambassador to highlight the great work The Park is doing.

Dr. Quentes De Vries
MB CHB, FRACP
I am honoured to have been asked to be an ambassador for The Park which is a great service and very Parkinson’s specific. Barbs and her team have been doing a great job for very long time.

Mr Andrew Wallace
Federal MP
What I love about the Sunshine Coast is the way that we wrap our arms around those in need, and The Parkinson’s Centre do just that for those impacted by Parkinson’s disease. I’ve seen the way that Parkinson’s can strip people of their vitality and independence, plunging families into crisis. I couldn’t be prouder to get behind The Parkinson’s Centre in their efforts to educate, support, and champion the rights of those impacted by Parkinson’s.

Liz Cantor
Media Presenter & Journalist
Liz has spent the past decade working with Channel Seven. With a deep personal connection to Parkinson’s, she was inspired by her grandmother, a former prima ballerina, and her grandfather, both of whom lived with the condition. Her uncle is also currently living with Parkinson’s. During her time as a contestant on the reality television series The Mole, Liz made a heartfelt promise to her grandmother near the show’s conclusion—to contribute to the search for a cure for Parkinson’s.
