Join our expanding Parkinson’s Program as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (EP) and be part of a compassionate and proactive team.
- Two fully equipped studios enable us to provide excellent exercise prescription for people living with Parkinson’s Disease and their immediate care givers.
- Our equipment is top-notch and carefully chosen to target not only the physical symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease but also the cognitive aspects, like memory, attention, processing speed, and executive function.
- We’re located centrally on the Sunshine Coast at the new Forrest Glen Village, which is a growing retail Centre.
- With over 150 regular local clients treated in house and an extensive wait list to onboard.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments on individuals.
- Facilitate specialised exercise programs that promote neuroplasticity and functional movement.
- Planning and leading group exercise classes.
- Designing individualised exercise programs.
- Maintaining detailed notes and reports.
- Providing high-quality care considering coexisting health conditions.
- With confidence and responsible progression enhance mobility, maintain function, and slow down disease progression.
- Proactively acquiring knowledge about Parkinson’s Disease and clients’ conditions.
- Collaborating with colleagues ensuring seamless communication and integrated client care.
- Treating clients with respect and dignity.

About the Successful candidate:
- Accreditation with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (AEP).
- National Police Check
- Current CPR and First Aid.
- Energy and charisma, the work needs to be fun and engaging for our clients.
- Empathy & Compassion for our clients.
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to work independently while seamlessly collaborating with the team to provide coordinated care.
- Organizational Skills.
- Effective Communication, stellar written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience in working with people living with Parkinson’s Disease. You’re already one step ahead!
- Specialised Exercise Prescription: High-level skills in exercise prescription for elderly patients with specific health needs.
